Samsung Maxima 33s Specs

Refurbs selling for around $30.00. This camera is used in the WoodsWatcher game camera system. This camera DOES NOT go into a sleep mode and fires a pic just a bit quicker than the Canon Owl PF when left sitting on for days.

Camera housing disassembly:

To open this camera up, there are seven screws that I remove.

1-3) In the silver casing that covers the front of the camera, remove 3 screws: 1 on each side, and one on bottom of camera.

4-5) In the black viewfinder panel, remove both screws (one on each side of viewfinder) Note: It may not be completely necessary to remove these screws, but I think having the panel loose helps when removing the front casing.

6-7) The last two screws are in the film compartment. The two screws that need to be removed are located on the left side, at the back of the hollowed out area where the film canister is held. There is one at the top and one at the bottom. Do not remove the third screw in this area, which secures the small metal bracket.

With all the screws removed, pry the silver front casing off from the bottom of the camera (you will have to carefully pry the casing over the film door release switch on the side of the camera and over the threaded attachment bushing on the bottom). This should be done while the viewfinder panel is still attached, but with screws removed. This is the easiest way I've found, if anyone can suggest improvements, please do.

Here are my test photo's from the 33s (they are untouched):

The first photo was taken 20 feet from the deer target, and the second was taken at 30 feet. The fence in the background was an additional 45 feet away. Also, these pics were taken on Dollar General 400 film. I got it by mistake, but I guess you can mark it up as another film test.
