User CommentsHaving never owned a trail camera before, I can't fairly compare the GameScout to any other model on the market today. But I found the GameScout easy to use and it takes great pictures day or night! My wish list for the unit would include a "frame counter window" (manufacture indicates future model will have one) that can be viewed without having to remove the unit from the tree. Also a bit longer chain on the accessory Scout Guard would be nice. There were a couple of instances where I wanted to attach the GameScout in a stand of mature timber and the accessory Scout Guard's chain was just a few inches too short to fit around the trees I needed to use.
Like I mentioned in the first paragraph, you get hooked" on trying to capture deer on film. Not to mention the other critters that come happening by from time to time (I captured a picture of a squirrel going down a tree at 2:15 am!). You can find out when and where the deer are moving on your hunting grounds with just a little effort and its a lot of fun. For me, I can't see myself without a trail camera in my deer hunting arsenal again. It's a must have scouting tool for me! Dennis G.
