Our hunting trips at the Dye Creek Preserve focus on wild pigs, Columbian blacktail deer, California quail, dove, and waterfowl. The Dye Creek Preserve is comprised of over 37,000 acres of prime hunting ground. It is near the small northern California town of Los Molinos. It is approximately 30 minutes north of Chico, two and half hours north of Sacramento, and 45 minutes south of Redding, California.
We also rent out the Dye Creek Lodge to families, groups and companies that are looking for a unique place to hold meetings, or to just get reacquainted with family and friends.
The hunting program at Dye Creek has a long and storied history. MUM President Wayne Long was hired in 1966 to start the hunting program. After leaving Dye Creek in 1973, Wayne and his company MUM acquired the hunting lease in 1987, and we have been here ever since.
Wayne’s son Gordon is currently the on-site manager, as well as the operations manager for our other lower 48 state programs.
2 day guided pig hunt is $680 per person There is a $200 trophy fee for boars with 2 " or bigger tusks. These hunts are conducted on a spot-and-stalk technique. No dogs are used.
