Enjoy the company and care of an Old time Adirondack Guide.
I’m Bob Weber. I live on the shore of Upper Saranac Lake in a house accessible only by boat, about 18 miles due west of the village of Saranac Lake, NY.
My back yard is 20,000 acres of land that my family has lived on for generations. I’m the third generation to make my living as a professional guide on these waters and in these woods we have private land and leases for hunting, fishing, canoe or photography trips.
That’s over 30 square miles of private land you and your companions can have to yourselves during your guided stay with us. It has ponds loaded with bass, pike, trout and pan fish -- and miles of water filled with wild trout, landlocked and kokanee salmon.
And, if you can hunt it legally in New York State, you can find it on this land. I’ll help you do it.
I’ve benefited from the knowledge of this land and its wildlife passed down from the generations before me, my brothers and my extended family who have lived, hunted, fished and guided here. I’ve added to that knowledge on my own over 23 years of doing the same.
If there is anybody in the area that knows this land and its wildlife better than we do, I haven’t met them.
But here’s what you really need to know.
I am committed to giving every guest an outstanding Adirondack experience, custom tailored to their personal preferences, wants and needs.
I will personally work with you as much as you need to plan the trip you want. I will personally supervise your trip, and I will be your host while you are here.
I can’t control the weather or the wildlife, so I can’t guarantee the success of your trip. But I can promise you that we will do everything in our power to make your trip as successful, safe and pleasant as we can.
If you are unhappy with our service and our efforts you will be the first we’ve ever had feel that way. We go the extra mile to make sure that you and your companions leave with pleasant memories of your experience and the belief that our services represented an outstanding value to you.
Please use the links on this page to learn more about Guides for Hire and our area. If you have any questions that are not answered here, e-mail or call me.
This is a beautiful part of the world, filled with fishing, hunting, canoeing and photography opportunities. I hope you’ll let me show it to you.
Anyone can travel the Adirondack Park. But why don’t you let us show you the REAL Adirondacks. The difference? Well... You can walk through the woods...or be part of them.
