Pros: Effective for quieting the bow string and small size
Cons: Have had no negative experiences with this product

After installing this product on both a 275fps compound bow and a 35# takedown recurve and shooting extensively through the entire 2004 hunting season and this spring, I've found the string leeches to be the cutting edge in string silencing products.

I do recommend that you have a little skill with a needle and thread or string in order to secure the leeches once you have them in place. The little bumps on the leeches help to keep them aligned, but don't keep them from creeping up and down the sting, or from flying off when the bow is shot.

After securing them to the bow string, I have not had one issue with them getting out of alignment.

I've used the cat whiskers and spiders for about 17 years now and have always disliked the large profile and "floppy" movement of these whisker style silencers. The LimbSaver String Leech products work better than anything I've used to date.

Just be sure to follow the factory instructions that come with the product as they do make a difference. The folks at Sims know their stuff. Install these leeches per their recommendations and the rest is all fun.
