Bunk-bed storage with foam dividers provides separate compartments to store 4 rifles/shotguns up to 48". HDPE shell, weather resistant o-ring seal, stackable, bumper protected hardware, solid die cast zinc locks, ATA 300 Class 1 rated.

Shipping Dimensions: L x W x H: 56" x 20" x 8".

Shipping Weight: empty 30lbs., with 2 rifles, 1 pair Schnee elk boots and some other small items is about 50 lbs. Airlines consider a bag overweight if over 50 lbs, some use 70 lbs and charge you extra for the overweight bag.

Case Features for all SKB cases:

The molded-in configurations of bumpers and ribs are designed to absorb shock and vibration as well as provide protection for exposed hardware.

SKB ATA style cases (Airline Transport Association) are molded from ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene, the material specified by the U.S. military for cases and containers which must withstand the toughest field conditions.

All ATA cases are designed to exceed ATA 300 Class 1 specifications. The HDPE plastic is impervious to oil, petroleum, fuels and acid. The aluminum valance on SKB cases provides a reliable "tongue and groove" closure and a neoprene O-Ring gasket keeps out harmful moisture.

Heavy duty die-cast locking latches are engineered for a lifetime of service. These quality latches are field replaceable and are guaranteed for the life of the case. Selected case models have durable built-in wheels for effortless transport.

Molded from ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene.

Poly is impervious to all solvents, oils, fuels and acids.

Case color runs through the material so scratches don't show.

Pros:	Tough case. Wheels are a joy for airport travel.
Cons:	Heavy when fully loaded with 4 rifles.

After using cheapo gun and bow cases for years and recently watching my bow case come down the luggage carousel in pieces I figured it might be time to buy a good case.

I knew I wanted 2 things in a new case, wheels so I could pull it up to the airline counter for checking and lots of room for gear too since the airlines now only allow 2 checked bags without paying extra.

My search lead to the SKB #2SKB-5014w 4 rifle case with wheels. After one trip I'm very happy with my purchase from Cabela's for $189.00. This may sound expensive but when you think about how much that bow or rifle costs and the time to customize your gear, putting them in cheapo plastic Wal-mart cases isn't a real good idea.

I got lucky and only had a crushed bow case, it could have been the bow and numerous hours filing out insurance and airport luggage claim paperwork. 2 rifle cases are around $119.00 but I went with the bigger case to be able to get more gear in my 2 checked bags for flying. Most airlines now charge $75.00 for an extra checked bag and I'm going to get my money's worth with this larger case, and not just ship one rifle in it.

The case locks are easy to close and lock. You get two sets of lock keys. The case rests on it's end or long ways with out falling over, unlike my cheapo one that broke off the plastic feet the first trip.

The wheels are heaven, I drug this case for what seemed like a mile in the airport parking due to the new restrictions on parking. I had to park first and couldn't drop off the rifle with the curb check in.

I beat this case for several weeks already in the back of a pickup truck and it still looks pretty good.

4 baggage claim stubs up on this case so far.

I paid $189.99 at Cabela's.
