Description: TrailMAC Game Camera

SPECIFICATIONS:

Camera: Kodak 35mm camera. Unknown at this time. Please email us if you know what model.

Camera Independent Use: Unknown at this time.

Power Source: 8 each AA batteries.

Battery Life: Two to three month battery life with 8 AA size batteries.

Low Battery Indicator: No.

Detection Method: Passive infrared motion detector. Three sensitivity settings which allow detection out to 60 feet. The most sensitive setting allows a detection distance out to 60 feet (at 75 degrees F), the second setting allows a detection distance out to 40 feet, and the least sensitive allows a detection distance out to 25 feet (temperature dependent).

Sure Shot Mode is an option designed to estimate the speed of the animal in front of the motion sensor and determine if will be in the photograph. For instance, if it is moving too quickly to be in the photo (such as a running deer, squirrel, bird, etc.) it will not trigger the camera. Only a stationary animal or an animal moving very slowly will trigger the camera. This optional mode works great over a feeder and eliminates many undesirable photos saving film and development costs. It is not recommended for most trail situations unless your monitoring scrapes. For Trails, standard mode is just a flip of a switch.

Camera Delay Options: Delays of 30 seconds, 1, 4, 8, 15, 30, 60, and 120 minutes.

Operation Modes: Operates 24 hours a day or daytime only.

Pros: This product as well as the digital version are the best on the market. I have tried others, have clients with experience with others and this one comes out on top. Easy to use, reliable, and flexibility are the three main attributes.
Cons: None/

I have nothing but good things to say about this product. It is absolutely reliable and has flexible attibutes that make it a critical aid to my hunting and that of my hunting clients. I have also met the owner and his wife at several shows, and they were both pleasant and well informed on the product. In fact Tom, was the primary designer of the product and it is immediately evident that he knows everything, and I do mean everything about his product. He had great tips on how to effectively place and monitor the camera. He also explained "exactly" how it operates. This is the only choice for trail camera.

Pros: easy to use and very reliable
Cons: have not found any

I always used camtrackers but got tired of their high prices and poor customer service. Unfortunately most of the lower priced cameras seem to give empty photos. I found the TrailMAC about two years ago and have used them ever since. I own three and use them from August through January and never have problems. They are just as reliable as Camtracker for a lot less money. Highly recommended!
