Pros: Simplicity, it works everytime.
Cons: It could be lighter, but it's not really a problem.

A push of the button to turn it on, another push and you have your range.
Some may not like the larger size, but I do. I prefer using both hands with my index fingers grasping the bill of my hat for steadiness. I looked at some of the smaller ones but this one tripped my trigger.
Also it seems that the 9 volt might last forever, I been using mine for 3 years and haven't replaced it yet, still works everytime. Great product!
