General Hunt Information
- Acorn Ridge Outfitters' hunts are 100% fair-chase, have no high-fences or pen-raised animals, and no dogs are ever used.
- Hunts take place from Saturday through Tuesday only.
- Weapons used to hunt are rifle or bow. Please see Department of Fish & Game regulations for bows to determine what is allowed for which species and other regulations.
- Deer hunts and Dove hunts are limited to certain ranches and are specific dates determined each year by the Department of Fish & Game hunting seasons.
- Deluxe Hunts - These hunts are for the hunter that likes all the details handled so they can relax and enjoy the experience. Acorn Ridge Outfitters can: book your motel room for you; make reservations at your choice of restaurant; provide shuttle service to and from the motel; guide you on your hunt; shoot video and take digital pictures of your hunt; pack out your game; gut, skin, and transport your game to our official butcher; have your game processed and shipped to your home or business. For our hunters who wish to fly in to hunt, we can provide a ride for you from the Sacramento Airport, to the motel, and back when you're all finished!
- Our method of hunting is mostly spot and stalk in known areas of travel, bedding & feeding areas, and near water.
- Hunts are done with UTV or by walking only
- The terrain that we hunt is moderate to steep foothills with canyons, oak trees, rocks, and some brush.
- All hunters must sign a liability waiver upon arrival before the hunt begins.
- Safety is very important to all of us at Acorn Ridge Outfitters. Please make sure you handle yourself and your weapons in a safe manner!
- We will help you field dress and transport your animal to your vehicle
- There is no guarantee you will be successful on your hunt, but rest assured that our licensed, bonded, and insured guides will do all they can to fullfill your hunting adventure.
- We reserve the right to reschedule a hunt due to extreme weather or other circumstances beyond our control.
- We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone that does not follow Acorn Ridge Outfitters' rules and guidelines.
