Your Lake Tahoe Guide: Captain Gene St. Denis is a seasoned, professional guide. He has been fishing Lake Tahoe since 1981, and is one of the finest guides on Lake Tahoe. He is knowledgeable, fun, courteous and runs one of the cleanest operations found anywhere. Gene knows Lake Tahoe and how to catch fish, with over a 90% success rate. He is fully insured and licensed by the California Department of Fish and Game and is a U.S. Coast Guard Licensed Captain. He is also a Licensed Master Guide as well as author of several articles on fishing Lake Tahoe and the High Sierra Mountain Lakes.
Lake Tahoe Fishing Charters, are both open and private (1 to 4 people) and are prime time morning trips, as well as beautiful afternoon trips. We operate year-round - weather permitting. The boat is super clean and comfortable with seating for all. It is equipped with a canopy which provides shade during hot weather conditions and full enclosure and heating during the cold season. Licenses are available on board for your added convenience. Bait, tackle and beverages are provided, and of course your catch will be cleaned and bagged at no extra charge.
The Fish, Mackinaw (Lake Trout), our specialty, are the main attraction at Lake Tahoe and are prized table fare. Lake Tahoe is the most famous Mackinaw lake in the west. "Macks" from three to five pounds are an everyday occurence, six to ten pounds are quite common, and fish of 20 pounds or larger are a very real possibility on any of our charters. Mackinaw (Lake Trout) are true "Giants of the Deep" and provide very exciting fishing year round on Lake Tahoe. The Rainbows and Browns are seasonal and provide great fishing when available for top-line action.

Had a great time with Gene this summer, fun guy and knows his fishing on Tahoe. My youngest son hooked into and lost a big Mac was too much for him to reel up quickly, we were fishing deep draging the bottom (alot like rock cod fishing)we boated 3 largest about 5#
