ELK
The elk herds of New Mexico are thriving. Their numbers increase every year and so do the number of licenses available. The bulls in our area are renown for their huge racks.
The season opens with a September bowhunt, followed by October through December rifle hunts. The run starts in September and we find bulls bugling throughout October. The late season hunts give us the opportunity to hunt with a good snow cover.
There are many excellent trophy bull areas on our vast public lands. Licenses are issued through a drawing. Most hunts are 100% draw. We can arrange a hunt even if you do not draw a license.
Most of the elk hunts are conducted from our lodge in Eagle Nest. We do utilize spike camps and horses when hunting remote wilderness areas during the early season hunts. Success is high on both the four wheel drive and wilderness area hunts. Let us know your preference when scheduling a hunt.
We do offer private land elk hunts on ranches up to 80,000 acres. No license drawing for private land hunts.
MULE DEER
New Mexico's mule deer are noted for their big racks in the record books. You will have and excellent chance of scoring a 30 inch class trophy. Our hunt area ranges from pinon and juniper forests to timberline for trophy mule deer.
The season opens with the September bowhunt, followed by the muzzleloader season. Regional deer management has created a variety of rifle seasons from September through November. We hunt across northern New Mexico for trophy bucks during the two to seven day seasons. Hunts are based out of our lodge or a motel. Vehicle access to most hunt areas. The deer season closes with a January bowhunt.
Private ranch hunts are available for deer during the November seasons.
ANTELOPE
New Mexico has the finest pronghorn antelope hunting for trophy bucks in the U.S. There is only one annual rifle season in each quadrant of the state. We hunt large private ranches in northeastern and southeastern New Mexico with 100% success. 14 inch to record book trophies. The pronghorn hunt is challenging and fun.
TURKEY
Spring turkey hunts are in late April through mid May. We hunt private ranches and public lands for Merriam gobblers. Calling in your gobbler with an experienced guide guarantees an exciting hunt.
BUFFALO
Bison hunts are available year 'round on private land for massive trophy bulls.
JAVELINA
The elusive Javelina is native to southern New Mexico. we conduct this hunt in the desert mountains of the southwest. Licenses are issued through a drawing for the February season.
EXOTICS
Year 'round hunts are available for CORSICAN and MOUFLON SHEEP, BARBARY SHEEP (aoudad) and IRANIAN RED RAMS. These wild trophies are hunted on large private ranches in southern New Mexico. Unlimited licenses.
BOWHUNTING
I am a dedicated bowhunter and so are my guides. We offer bowhunts for all species.
The September Elk bowhunt is our specialty. We hunt trophy bulls with high success. The thrill of being within bow range of a bugling bull is unsurpassed. Mule deer can be hunted at the same time as elk.
An excellent time to get in range of a trophy mule deer buck is during the January bow season. Licenses sold over the counter for deer.
The antelope bowhunt is in August. Licenses must be applied for by the April deadline.
We have taken record book elk, bear and lion on our archery hunts.
* RESERVATIONS SHOULD BE MADE EARLY TO GUARANTEE THE DATES YOU PREFER.
* All guided hunts include food, lodging, guides (one guide per two hunters) and transportation in the hunt area. Most of our hunts are conducted from our lodge in Eagle Nest. We base our hunts from motels or cabins when hunting other areas of New Mexico.

* LICENSES FEE EXTRA ON ALL HUNTS.
* NON-HUNTERS ARE WELCOME FOR AN ADDITIONAL FEE.
