Since it was founded Wolverine Creek Outfitters has consistently given their hunters the opportunity to harvest trophy bull elk, moose, and deer. Year after year these hunts have earned an extraordinary reputation for quality and value. Wolverine Creek Outfitters enjoys its incredible success due to our professional, experienced and dedicated guides and camp staff. Ryan Lakovitch is the owner and will be your host as he and his guides take you on "A True Wilderness Experience" where the land is still wild, and hunters return year after year.
More Than Just a Hunt
As life becomes more stressful, our goal is to not only provide you with a great hunting experience but also an unequaled opportunity to experience the peace and magnificent beauty of one of the most wild and isolated backcountry areas left in America. We have committed ourselves to provide you with quality stock, excellent equipment, delicious meals, comfortable accommodations, and local guides who live, play and hunt in the remote areas we cover.
Our camps are equipped with wall tents (three people per tent). The tents feature wood stoves, lanterns, cots, sleeping pads and views you can dream about. In addition to sleeping tents, we have a cook tent where we serve tasty, hearty, home-cooked meals. We also take pride in keeping a good string of horses and mules that will take you into the back-country and are a pleasure to ride to and from the hunting areas each day. Everything is provided for you except your rifle, sleeping bag and personal items.
Licensed
Guides are required by law in this remote area. We provide one licensed guide for each two hunters we host.
WCO has a base camp and an Upper Camp. Both camps provide "A True Wilderness Experience". Base camp is 4-wheel drive accessible. The Upper camp is a day ride by horseback. All hunting is done via horesback from both camps.
A hunting trip into either one of our camps in this remote region is a serious undertaking requiring physical stamina and conditioning, and does not allow for immediate emergency response. Mental discipline is also very important. Due to liability reasons and concern for our stock in this steep country we must limit our hunters to a weight of 240 lbs.
A few comments from Ryan:
I've lived in Jackson Hole, Wyoming my whole life. Hunting has been a family tradition which I have always enjoyed participating in ever since I could get on a horse. Outfitting is our way of life as well as being our full-time livelyhood.
As a professional hunter and guide I take outfitting you on a big game hunt very seriously. I have hunted this area for fourteen years and, as a professional, I will personally guarantee that each hunter we guide is taken care of properly.
In addition to a quality hunting experience I feel the wilderness areas we hunt have more to offer than good hunting. Sunrise on top of the ridges where you can see the most unforgettable sights in the country. You, the hunter, have the opportunity to see grizzly bear, watch eagles soar over mountain lakes, listen to coyotes and owls long into the night and bring grouse to camp for the cook to prepare. All this is part of daily life providing you "A True Wilderness Experience".
My staff and I will strive to give you an experience that you will remember for a lifetime.
At Wolverine Creek Outfitters we provide hunting at its best. We look forward to working with you scheduling your hunt. We take pride in knowing our clients and their abilities, for additional information I can be reached at 307.733.8827.
