I stayed with Deedee and the wonderful girls on their staff for a hog hunt at nearby Fort Hunter Liggett. The cabins are about the nicest I've stayed at in a long time. Easy to find and handy if you hunt FHL and want to stay in a nice warm cabin. They have a meat locker now and are adding more goodies for hunters all the time.

The Bryson Hesperia Resort is only 10 minutes away from the gate of Fort Hunter Liggett. It has nice, comfortable, clean cabins. The host/propietor is Deedy and she and her staff are into providing excellent service. We enjoyed our stay at Bryson Hesperia Resort. God Bless.

BHR is set-up for successful hunting. Deedy is constantly scouting areas of FHL to give the most up to date info. The cabins are nicer than my home. A hot shower at the end of the day or to wake you up is a real bonus. BBQ's for you to cook your dinner on, full kitchen, DISHWASHER!!, fridge, MEATLOCKER for successful hunters, and a very friendly and helpful staff. My wife, who finds holiday inn express "camping" will enjoy our next stay when I can bring her with me. She can do wine tasting at the various wineries while I'm hunting. Then, we can cook dinner, enjoy others, and take a walk under the starlit sky. Deedy and her crew go out of their way to make sure you're comfortable and work hard to make your hunt a success. BHR ROCKS!!

I was lucky enough to accompany a friend who had won a guided hog hunt at Bryson. Within minutes of arriving Deedy and Karin made us feel like we had known them forever. The cabins are by far nicer than any motels I've stayed in and have stoves, full size refridgerators, TV's and BBQ's outside.
As far as the hunting it was an excellent adventure. Deedy had us on hogs within a couple hours of arriving. We ended our trip killing a 330lb boar. They have excellent properties with lots of game. This was my first guided hunt and wouldn't hesitate to book another with Bryson.
I look forward to a return trip soon and will be using the cabins when hunting Fort Hunter Liggett from here on out.

This is family operation that takes customer service very seriously. The cabins are incredible and wildlife plentiful. As a side note it is also an excellent place for beginners and children, the staff takes the time to teach kids about the outdoors and the habits of wildlife. My kid had a great time and he can't wait to go back. Thanks to the staff at Bryson's for making life long memories.
Bryson's offers something for everybody, newbies and experienced hunters alike. I highly recommend this outfitter to anyone looking to go pig or deer hunting.

Deedy and staff did an excellent job from the first contact about availability to the last wave goodbye.
Hunted HARD for 3 1/2 days! Deedy did everything possible to get us in the right place at the right time. You will not find a harder working nor more personable guide...and yes, we did get pigs!
The cabins (as mentioned in other reviews) are top notch. Adequate space for three...maybe even four if you're REALLY good friends. Most of us don't go for the accommodations but to hunt. In this case it was a real bonus to have a nice place to stay.
The office is open/available 24/7 and has a land-line for telephone calls (no cell service at the resort). Also available is a computer with internet connection for you to use if you're not catching up on your sleep (which you will need!)
Another (of the many) nice features of the resort is the community patio/bbq area. Great place for the "sundowner" meeting to recall the day's events and plan for the next day. Although each cabin has a BBQ it's where we always ended up.
Finally, I can't fully convey what a truly dedicated host you'll find in Deedy. Personable, hard working, knowledgeable and has a wicked funny sense of humor.
Can't beat the experience! Five stars and THUMBS WAY UP!
p.s. if she recommends buying fresh eggs from her neighbors the Brands-(Mr. and Mrs.)-do it!
