Join Shane Hearn in the Texas Hill Country for the opportunity to enjoy a quality hunting experience. Shane is a Texas hunting guide and outfitter who has over 30 years of hunting and guiding experience. He provides guiding services for trophy whitetail, exotics, turkey, hog, and doe hunts. He has access to several Texas Hill Country ranches and lodging facilities. Two of which include The Harkey Ranch near San Angelo, and Rancho Cueva outside of Del Rio.( http://www.ranchocueva.com )
Overall Description:
-Access to 20,000 acres between 5 ranches in Uvalde, Real, Kinney, Val Verde and Edwards counties.
-Access to high and low fenced ranches
-Whitetail, hogs, turkey, axis, blackbuck, African plains game, elk, red deer, sheep, and many more.
-Trophy and meat hunts
-Fully guided and semi guided
-Hunting styles include Safari style, spot&stalk, and blind (hunting house)

The Harkey Ranch is located near San Angelo, Tx and consists of nearly 3,000 high fenced acres. 50% deposit required when booking hunt.

2008 price list
These are going to be the 2 day package hunts, which includes lodging, transportation around the ranches and game care (skin, cape, quarter into ice chests). Food, drinks and ice provided by hunters.
Exotic doe hunt - $800
2 doe (axis, blackbuck or sika), hogs and predators
Trophy Axis - $1900
1 axis buck 27" or better, hogs and predators
Additional animals - These prices are for additional animals taken on one of the above hunts.
Exotic doe $200 each
Axis bucks under 27" - $1300 (must be mature)
Axis mgmt buck - $850 (guides discretion)
Sika buck - $1100
Blackbuck ram - $1000
Non - hunters welcome to be in camp - $150 per day
50% deposit required within 2 weeks of booking hunt. Non-refundable!
Wounded animals will be considered "dead" animals unless decided otherwise by the outfitter.
Lodging in Uvalde, up to 16 people, @ $50 per night per person. Lodge is a 3 bedroom, 2 bath ranchouse located on another ranch just outside of Uvalde. Full amenities (cookware, stove, fridge...etc. )

Shane Hearn (aka Borderbandit) hosted the 2007 JHO exotic hunt for 5 Jesses Hunting and Outdoors forum members. Our primary target was axis does. We saw plenty of game on every hunt. Axis does/bucks and blackbuck male/female were observed on multiple occasions. All hunters were successful in taking at least one doe, with a blackbuck and pig also being taken during our hunt. The lodge we stayed at in Uvalde was rustic and perfect with all the needed amenities. I'll be looking forward to exotic or pig hunting with shane again in the future and would recommend his services to anyone.

After being burned by several other guided hunts I was skeptical to say the least about going on this hunt, however after several discussions with Shane I felt pretty good about this one. Shane delivered on all his promises and made sure that we had a good time. If you are looking for an affordable hunt with great results and great accomodations then give ole Shane a call. You had better get ready for some fast & exhilrating action though. Thanks for everything Shane.

There is no doubt that I will be going back to hunt with Shane. He told us that we would see many Axis and we saw over 300 with many 30+" bucks. The lodge was very nice with relaxing views down to the Nueces River. Great time, with great friends. Thanks, hope to see you in June.

Great time hunting some Axis does with my nephews, plenty of opportunity, little trouble on my nephews sealing the deal, but Shane hung in there.

My first guided hunt and after I saw my first axis buck, I upgraded immediately. The wildlife was abundant,the guide knowledgeable and hardworking. As a result, I was able to shoot a 30+ axis and put a doe down. Never seen so many whitetail and other exotics. Great time, can't wait to go again.

Shane is fantastic, he got me my first wild boar and 30+ axis. Loves to see his hunters succeed and works really hard to make sure they do. Cant wait to get back out there for another hunt.
