I had Darius bug a velvet buck skull for me. When the mount was complete and returned, the skull was not as it originally was and had been altered well beyond our agreed upon work. He neither took the time nor had the intuition to properly measure the antlers and return them to their original position when complete. He added close to 5 inches in width to the antlers? (i kid you not)
My extreme disappointment then turned to disgust as the skull slowly began to show signs of grease, indicating to me the skull was also not properly degreased.....i'm now waiting for a partial refund of my money and would not recommend his services to others.

Regarding Arrowslingers post:
Every & any project has the possibility of problems. Arrowslinger attempted with numerous other Taxidermists that would not take on his project of a "European skull" cleaning with velvet...... the bugs will eat the velvet.
We discussed this in length & he understood the possibility of problems. My BAD for taking on this challenge.
Regarding any signs of grease............. I use outside vendors for skull cleaning & have discontinued use of that vendor & now use High Desert Skullworks with alot better results. $$ refund has been mailed.
In closing, I have over 200 photo's on my website with HUNDREDS of satisfied clients, I now understand why so many others didn't take on his project, lessons learned !

there's nobody else we would even consider taking our "memories" to. Darius Taxidermy has EARNED our family's trust. Most people would never even offer a partial refund....that's an A+ as far as trying to keep a customer happy!

I've used Darius (and will continue to do so) for years and have never seen a less than excellent piece come out of his studio. He is highly professional and puts out a high quality work product. There's got to be more to this story than is being told!

Just picked up 2 of my birds from Darius today. The 3rd he wanted to keep to take to the state comp. All I can say is wow. His work is awesome. I always enjoy working with people who are actual "hunters". Darius's work shows how many days he spends in the field and captures the birds through the eye of a hunter. Not to mention viewing his shop and all the STINKIN BANDS got my mouth watering for the upcoming season. .
