Camera: Canon Snappy LX II 35mm fully automatic (/advance/flash/rewind). This is a fixed focus camera so there is no auto focus. Program Auto Exposure with four shutter speeds, so it automatically selects the proper speed to match film type and lighting conditions. f/4.5. Batteries required: 2 AA alkalines. Weighs 11.7 oz.
Camera Independent Use: Yes, you can take the camera out of the unit and use it like a normal 35mm camera.
Power Source: Uses 2 "AA" alkaline batteries in camera and 1 each 9 volt alkaline.

SOME OTHER NOTES:This camera was introduced in July 2000. Easy access with the swing out lid to change film and batteries. Customer service answered my phone inquiry with good info.
