Description: I recently purchased a Tikka T3 Stainless Lite bolt-action hunting rifle in .270 WSM and so far I couldn't be happier with my purchase. The Tikka T3 essentially has a Sako barrel. Tikka guarantees their rifles will shoot 1" or better groups at 100 yards out of the box. I took mine to the range yesterday and my average of around seven 2-3 shot groups was 5/8." The groups ranged from 1/2" (two) to 1 1/8" (one). My Tikka is topped with a Leupold VX-III 3.5X10 scope and I was shooting 130-grain Winchester Supreme Ballistic Silvertips. Recoil is brisk but not heavy if that makes sense. Here's an additional blurb from the manufacturer:

Tikka T3 Lite

While the T3 is designed to appeal to the traditionalist with its satin-finished walnut stock, the T3 Lite uses a lightweight injection-molded synthetic stock that reduces weight a full 7 ounces. You’ll notice the difference after a long day in the mountains! Giugiaro Design gave the T3 Lite a stock that combines classic and modern designs in a harmonious and functional layout that is both handsome and fast-handling. Synthetic stocks are the choice of hunters who must face tough weather conditions.

Pros: balance of price/performance
Cons: plastic detachable magazine

Outstanding hunting rifle. Sako quality barrel in an inexpensive package. Tikka guarantees 1" or better groups out of the box at 100 yards. Mine has averaged 5/8" groups with Winchester Supreme Ballistic Silvertips.
