This telephoto lens will increase the magnification of your subject by 1.7x when your camera lens is set to the telephoto position. This will help you bring in the subject when you can't get closer, for example, shooting sports or concerts. Please see below for additional items required to attach this lens to your camera. Yes | Price you paid?: $100.00 | Rating: 9    Pros: Lens is very sharp, and does not loose very much light compared to other brands Cons: some vignetting at wide angle (for my setup, although not all) I use the 1.7x on my sony f707. Even though the telephoto is designed for olympus cameras, other cams can use it also if you get the right step up/down rings or adaptor tubes. Adding the 1.7x multiplies your total zoom by 1.7. so my 10x zoom is now 17x. This is the one item I can not be without when shooting wildlife
