MURS Alert™ Trail-Monitoring System
MURS is authorized by the FCC as a license-free radio service.
Other trail monitors tell you when an animal was on the trail. MURS Alert tells you when game is on the trail. The Alert Transmitter is a passive infrared detector that you mount on a tree close to a trail to detect deer, bear and other large animals. When the transmitter picks up a combination of body heat and movement, it sends a voice signal to the M538-HT handheld transceiver or base station unit to alert you.
Four different voice signals can be selected at the transmitter so you can monitor up to four areas at once. Transmitter has five channels and 38 sub-codes for uninterrupted use. The M538-HT also operates on five channels with 38 sub-codes and, along with receiving alert signals from the transmitter, can be used for two-way communications with other radios.
The handheld radio unit's two watts of output power give you up to a five-mile range. Purchase extra transmitters and transceivers to monitor up to four areas.
