Pros: Marty was an awsome guide, the only down fall was it was over too soon.
Cons: He showed them to me too fast, it was like i didn't even have to work for it.

Like i said earlier, I highly recommend hunting with Marty. He guided me to see one heard of 10-12, another heard of 15-18, and then finally a loan trophy boar. He was really good at his job, helped haul them out, cleaned and skinned them. He is located up near Paso Robles, CA and has three ranches to hunt off of. The one I hunted on was near Parkfield, CA. Also, before i signed on with Marty, I did my homework, he was by far the best value for a single hunter looking to score some pigs.

Pros: hard working guide , your the only hunter.
Cons:

I saw some big pigs and missed an easy shot. Price is $250 for each hunter plus a success fee which I thing is $250 and $100 more if the pig is a trophy 2oo or more pounds. Marty also does turkey hunting for 300 and blacktail for $1000. I saw blacktail's and turkey's.

Pros: Nice guy easy to talk with.
Cons: He's down to only one or two ranches to hunt on as of 11-06

I was lead to believe that a guide like this was supposed to "put you on the pigs" and then making the shot is all on you. Well that's all well and good but what happens when you don't see any animals? We drove around a 3500 acre ranch almost all day long and didn't see any pigs until about 15mins. before dark. I was paying for my first hunt so I could see how it's done. This was the first day of a two day hunt. Told me to go home after the first day, because he didn't want to feel bad about charging me for two days of getting skunked. Somebodies ahd luck with him and that's why I chose him for my first hunt. If this is what a guided hunt is like thay can keep it!!!
