Private land hunting in Northern Utah offers some of the finest big game hunting North America has to offer. Being in the outfitting industry has taught us that it is extremely necessary to make sure the hunt you have to offer is suited correctly for the hunter. Just like every ranch varies in size, steepness, terrain type and accessibility, every hunter varies in experience, physical condition, comfortable shooting distance and personal trophy goals.
Here at The Hunting Company we understand how each of these variables greatly affects the overall hunting experience. We take all of these things into consideration before we ever recommend a particular hunt. Secondly, you are not working with an out of state consulting company who has never even seen the ranch nor met the outfitters. Being a native to Northern Utah and sharing the same passion for hunting, I personally know each individual outfitter, and the ranches that you would be hunting.
Northern Utah private land Mule Deer hunting can be bar none, the best there is. Northern Utah is comprised largely of private property that sees very little or controlled hunting pressure, which results in the animals being far less skittish than they would be on public land.
In general, the age class & trophy potential shows private land hunting is better than even the best public draw units. The outfitters we represent have controlled hunt numbers and the best big game habitat there is. The result is an extremely gratifying outdoor experience. Most ranches are also enrolled in the (CWMU) program, which eliminates the draw and allows you to purchase your tag directly from the outfitter.
