Paul Nelson Farm has caught the attention of those on Capitol Hill who come looking to get away, if only for a weekend. Some, in fact, have taken to calling us the Camp David of the Prairie. We have been used as a leadership retreat by some of Wall Street’s most successful companies. Professional athletes seek us out for their ultimate off-season vacation.

Just what is it that brings folks here? The pheasants? Wildlife biologists say pheasants need cover, water, and food to maximize habitat opportunities. There’s no denying we have them in abundance and more in this vista of endless prairie and fertile farmland, teeming with game birds and other wildlife.
