The ± 4 degree cone-shaped detection zone extends to 60 feet (maximum detection distances vary with ambient air temperature and animal size). Generally speaking, the cooler the air the greater the detection distance (this characteristic is true for all passive/motion sensors).

Detection Range: 60 feet. Standard & High Sensitivity settings allow optimizing for animal size.

Programming Modes of Operation: Two standard operating modes allow anyone to use DeerCam. Beginner mode jumper selection of camera delay, on/off switch very easy to learn. Advanced mode - 1 button operation, easy to use and enables advanced features. Both modes fully automatic operation for foolproof performance.

Optional: The XpanderTM - The optional Xpander installs inside the DeerCam and features a LCD display and push button switches. XpanderTM allows intuitive and easy viewing of events, setting camera parameters and enabling password protection. (An EVENT is the date/time an animal is detected). With the XpanderTM installed DeerCam is able to operate in a third mode, the Professional Mode. In Professional Mode you don't have to wait for film developement to determine animal activity, DeerCam electronically records the date/time of all activity for immediate viewing. Essentially, Professional Mode turns the DC-100 into a scouting camera and a trail monitor.

SOME OTHER NOTES: This camera replaced the NCX-10 as of May 2001. Good battery life and photos. Customer service answered our e-mail inquiry in 1 business day.
