Description: We are in our fourteenth year as a licensed (#262) and bonded guide service, this includes being involved in the take of over 900 wild boar. We have studied game and game management considerably more than other guides or hunting services. Living in the area we hunt, as well as having a great working relationship with the California Department of Fish and Game gives us a unique and important insight to wildlife and their habitat.

Guided Wild Boar Hunts
Russian cross feral hogs are hunted year round on rolling grassland hills, oak woodland, brush country, and agricultural fields. We hunt 50,000 acres ranging from 7 to 11 ranches in two counties of Central California near Paso Robles.

Hunts are fair chase (dogs are never used) and are done by four wheel drive and on foot. Most hunting is spot-and-walk, glassing, and bedding area drives. Hunting migration routes, water holes, and crop lands is very successful as well.

Climate
The climate on the central coast is mostly mild. We get 10 - 40" of rain per year and almost no snow. The low temperature on winter mornings is around 20 degrees and the high on summer afternoons can reach 110 degrees.

Pros: Professional and Ethical Guides!
Cons:

Dwayne, Kyler's right hand man, is awesome and I have seen pigs both times I've been out with him. He is a pro at what he does. My son shot his first boar with Boaring Experiences this June. I'm booked again for next year. Though I've not hunted with Kyler he has been great to deal with.

Good hunt, Kyler can out walk a fast walking horse. Good Time.

I did not kill a pig on this trip, but the 2 other guys with me did.

Pros: They tell the truth about success rates, etc
Cons: None

I've done 3 trips with Boaring - two a long time ago (6-7 years ago) - one Deer/Pig combo (1 on 1 w/Kyler) - got a little fork and a nice boar that I had mounted (Kyler has a good taxidermist he was working with - all I had to do is drive down there to get it after it was done). The second of the older hunts was pig only - got one then as well - nothing spectacular, but fun anyway. That hunt lasted about 30 minutes :-). Last spring (meybe the spring before that) I went out with my kids School teacher (2 on 1 guide - Dwayne) for pig and we hunted hard but the pigs didn't cooperate - saw lots of sign, still had fun. the hunts where you stay at the Parkfield Inn are pretty good - foods great and "lodge" is nice as well.
