I picked this reel up about 8 years ago and have used it almost exclusively for river fishing for salmon and steelhead since.
With hundreds of large fish caught on this one reel, with no repairs, upgrades or major service in the 8 years of use, this product/company deserves a hardy kudos from this angler who appreciates quality equipment.
I can't begin to estimate how many times a chunky chum or hefty chinook salmon has crushed a fly and ran off with 80% of my backing before giving me some of it back. The drag system hasn't failed and the fit-n-finish is just right.
