This is a #255 Bear that got in 2002 WV archery season.Bow used was a ACS longbow with cedar arrows and a 140 gr.2 blade Eclipse broadhead at 14 yrds. Bear dropped in less than 20 yrds.

Very impressive. About the only thing that would impress me more is if you killed him with your pocket knife. 14 yards!!?? that is a little too close for my comfort. Thanks for sharing the photo and details.

Thanks Lan-Lord, it was exciting when it walked out in front of me and stoped. I used a cedar shaft and a 145 g. 2 blade Eclipse broadhead. He ran about 20 yards and stoped and looked around and then rolled down the mountain dead.He was aged at 9 years old and the DNR said as far as they know it is the biggest black bear taken with a "longbow" and "cedar shaft" in WV.
