Very impressive. About the only thing that would impress me more is if you killed him with your pocket knife. 14 yards!!?? that is a little too close for my comfort. Thanks for sharing the photo and details.

Thanks Lan-Lord, it was exciting when it walked out in front of me and stoped. I used a cedar shaft and a 145 g. 2 blade Eclipse broadhead. He ran about 20 yards and stoped and looked around and then rolled down the mountain dead.He was aged at 9 years old and the DNR said as far as they know it is the biggest black bear taken with a "longbow" and "cedar shaft" in WV.
