Allan Cole, Henderson, Nev., caught this 48-pound striped bass a 12-inch version of his A.C. Plug Minnow Thursday morning just above the hatchery at Willow Beach on the Colorado River. He landed a little 13-pounder last week a Mile Marker 46, but the bite has been slow, slow, slow for the past month.
