User Comments .... I have 2 different Midland radios, a single channel 75-501, and a 14 channel 75-510XLB. I have had zero problems with either radio. I use mine in a heavily forested area that is somewhat hilly. I've never actually checked the range, but I've never had a problem talking to any of my hunting partners. I've heard of other radios having problems here due to the cover, but these have never failed. I sure think that the range is every bit as advertised. I'd buy them again in a minute. The reason that I have a single channel and a 14 channel is that I wanted to try a cheap radio before I spent the $ on a 14 channel radio. As you can see, I was more than satisfied with their performance. - MI VHNTR.
