Hi all, I am new to the forum but have been reading for quite a while. I am an avid fisherman and hunter. I am working toward my first buck or bear, hopefully this year. Time is short, but I will be out Tuesday through Sunday, except for Halloween night. I have been out four times, each to Upper Blue lakes in Alpine Co. D-5 and swa tons of other hunters and enjoyed walking on ground that sounds like dried cereal crunching beneath my feet. I have two little ones so getting away is tough but I am going to give it my all next week. My dad is my long time hunting partner and has always been the one to bag a buck, as I have just tagged along. This is our first year hunting together after a 21 year break through my parents divorce etc. Anyway, we are out for some father son time and hopefully a buck or a nice bear. I am thinking of leaving the D5 area to head by Jackson Meadows/Bowman as this is where we have done well, at least 20 years ago or so. I am sure alot has changed since then. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks-Lahontan
