Free Spring Turkey Hunting Field Day and Calling Seminar

WATERBURY, VERMONT -- The snow banks might not suggest it, but spring turkey season is fast approaching.
Join the Vermont Fish & Wildlife Department, Orion-The Hunters Institute, and the Fly Rod Shop for a free daylong seminar that will get you on the road to becoming a successful turkey hunter.
The topics will include: calling techniques for the box, slate or mouth calls; blinds & decoy set-up, shotgun patterning, reading sign and locating calling spots, turkey hunting ethics and safety, and setting up for success.
This event is geared to all youth and new turkey hunters that have passed the basic firearms hunter education course.
Date: April 19, 2008, rain or shine
Time: 9:00 am – 4:30 pm (a free barbeque lunch is included)
