Stripers were in the Surf today. 6/28
The Stripers were in the surf today at Montara. We watched them fish between 9 AM and 11 AM, and there were 4 fish caught. The smallest was about 17 pounds, and the other 3 were a good 25 pounds. The best spot was directly out from the cement stairs that take you down to the beach. At 11 AM the Striper bite shut down, and mobs of people arrived to sun themselves and play volley ball with us. The beach sign says closed at sunset and open at 8 AM, but someone told me that guys were fishing there all night.
Don't wait. They are in the surf now. One mile of beach, and plenty of room for everyone. If you don't know what to use PM me.
