I'm pretty sure it was from SMP (I have so many magazine subscriptions it's rediculous) but I received a letter and a pro-rated refund check stating that they were shutting down the magazine. The magazine link on their website isn't working, so I'm sure that's the one.

Refund check? I had better check my stack of mail more closely, I don't recall see anything from them other than my first mag!

Definitely a bummer, maybe AS could stabbed himself more often and made the "life or death" situations a regular part of the magazine, sure to draw in subscribers with that

Those hand written envelopes are from Shay himself (SMP Outdoors). It's very unfortunate that Outdoor Chronicles will be no more, but thanks to each of you that subscribed and for supporting a start up magazine that in my opinion, was pretty damn good!

If you haven't received your refund check, please keep checking your mail.

Sorry for the delay, I just saw this post.

Yes, the magazine is no longer !!!

Very costly with the printing and production. But a great experience.

However, I'm still on my quest in refunding everyone their money. I'm almost done, so if you don't have it, keep checking. And don't hesitate to email me here, or call me if you haven't received one.

I'm still producing on-line videos and DVDs. In fact, I have some good footage I'm working on now, of the Oregon versus CA hog hunting contest. I'm going to combine that with some footage of other hunts that I've been sitting on for awhile.
