###We need a forum for just this reason,so we can tell others about gadgets they like/dislike.

###I will tell what i use for light:

###I have a NiteLite 6v 4.0 amp sealed jelcell with a nylon pouch that goes on my belt, the light goes on a hat that came with it(you can find them in Cabelas,Bass Pro EctEct..)
###This thing is just a tad bit of weight and you need to have some velcro on the back of your coat or hunting shirt to hold the cable out of the way of brush,I sometimes leave it in my backpack and just run the light out the top and put on the hat.
###The light itself has a water tight on/off button and a dimmer knob to turn the beam high or low,the lens also has a rubber O ring to seal out water, and the beam is adjustible from fan to spot,it is very bright and will burn all night.
###I wish it was lighter but it leaves my hands free when walking in or out of the woods and this helps me do this quieter without thrashing around in the brush(I actually walked up on a doe the other morning)It makes tracking, dressing, and dragging deer out after dark a breeze.
###It is rechargable(you get a charger)i recharge mine during a 3 mo. season once,my first battery lasted 3 years(it failed because i didnt keep it charged during the off season I suspect) I got a new battery this year.you will have to buy extra bulbs in case one goes out,i leave one in the battery pouch for easy access,it just stays on top of the battery.
###Out of a possible 5 *'s i rate it at **** I would give it a 5 * but for the weight, but i dont know if i will ever be able to hunt without it after having one.

###Lets hear about something you tried, let us know if its a must have or just more junk to carry,my reason for this is i noticed that when i pack for my trip to the woods i leave more than i take, just to much junk i dont use or need, makes it harder for me to carry it.

I second the motion, Passthru. I think that would be a great forum. Plus I'm sure it would save alot of us some money.

###On arrows and fletchings/vanes,I realize that most of you already have used both feather and plastic but this is my first year with plastic vanes and Carbon arrows.
###For those who have never tried out both of each, here is my veiw:

    ### Feather fletches,(negatives) I have always used, they create more drag, and are noisy in flight, when they get wet they lay down, brush tears them up,so they need care for longevity.
###(positives) the extra drag will stablize the shaft sooner after leaving the bow, they are lighter, and more forgiving when they contact your rest, making them easier to tune.
###Plastic vanes(this is my first year) are stiff and need to clear everything when shot, heavy, dont seem to stablize shaft as well, harder to tune up.
###Positive:Rain/snow wont bother them, way easier to put on shafts if you need to do it yourself, quiet in flight and in the quiver when brush hits them, need almost no care.
###My personal choice is feather fletching, but only my oppinion.

    ### As far as alluminum or carbon shafts this is my first year with carbons and i use the fat shafts for inserts instead of outserts

    ### Alluminum is a great shaft and will always be a great shaft, they are just a tad cheaper, there are so many sizes and splines to choose from, once you get the right combination for your bow they are awesome for accuracy and hard to beat, the only thing that i dont miss about this shaft is they bend and it is really over,You can straighten them but hey, your talking about an animals life and I dont want one to suffer from a bad shot that might have been prevented by buying a new shaft, they are not that high $
###Carbons, let me put it like this, this is my first year with them and I have noticed that they are really fast,Penatration is unbelievable and they are straight or broke,no if ands or buts.
###I was shooting in the back yard (trying to tune with vanes with no luck i might add) and missed my target, well the kids had left thier bikes in the woods behind the target,I heard the arrow hit what i thought was a rock, thinking it was all over i decided to try to find it,when i did i was surprised to find a perfectly good arrow, and the best of this is that it dead centered the bikes frame and bounced backwards, unbelievable!!!
###I will forever shoot carbons,i like these shafts.
    ###
    ### For all of you who already know this stuff im sorry if I bore you,but I notice that new people to the sport drop in asking questions and feel they may benifit from us and save time and money.

    ###Rubber Boots???????????? ###Jeez

###I am 39 yrs old and have been deer hunting since i was 9 with my dad and on my own at the age of 12,I am WAY WAY far from an expert, most people do way better than me,so here goes.

    ### I have tried rubber boots scouting and hunting and have actually seen deer stick thier nose right in my tracks and bust a move on outta there,I thought "ok,ill descent them a little" I have scrubbed them with baking soda to the point that you could almost see through the(making a point) I have sprayed them with scent away and still no good.
###Tried hip waders with the same results,in my personal opinion save the cash, buy some warm boots like Rockys,at least youll have warm dry feet then,I think that when you watch the drurys and all these other film hunters that they must be getting small amounts of money for every pair sold, why else would they wear them for you to see.
    ### Ok you can flame me for this one,I can take it.

No expert at archery here. ###I bought the limb savers and they knock down the bow noise quite a bit. ###I would recommend buying them, for $15 you can always scrap em. ###I don't have anything on the quiver. ###I also have (you guys are going to laugh at this one) a 7" Doinker STABILIZER (not pvts), with doughnut and that also helped with noise and vibration. ###I can already see the posts comming about having a 7" Doinker. LOL
