Two grandsons got Moultrie 200 game cameras for x-mas. Poor kids worked hard for several months trying to get pictures. Several pictures but no animals.
I checked the cams out to see what was the problem and they were slow to trigger and the range was lucky to get 3 feet. Pulled them apart and changed the fresnel lens to a wide angle and solved the problems.
They trigger faster and the range is over 20 feet. There going to set them back out this weekend for the real test, but I know they are 100 % better.
Not a hard job to change, but will void the warranty. But doesn't matter if the cams never worked good anyway. I know some guys have had good pictures from the moultrie, but these just didn't work right.
Also I never changed the distance from the pir to the lens.
Another link that might interest you Moultrie users: Go to ###### web site, Homemade Trail Cameras and do a search Playing with IR, First attempt. WOW, I DON`T BELEVE YOU CAN`T PUT ANOTHER CAMERA WEBSITE FORUMS NAME ON HERE. Do that search on the web, its about changing Moultrie cameras to IR
