I saw one the other day @ a dealership in town, looks cool. They only had one in stock so I guess they are selling well.
Recession is when your neighbor loses his job. Depression is when you lose yours.
Recovery is when Obama loses his.
Someone in the next neighborhood has one, in blue with a white top.
Looks odd. Must be the rounded roof line.

My company just bought one as a company vehicle... it's pretty cool... incredible sound system, locking rear diff, very roomy, I can't wait to baja it around the job site or drive it through a landslide!
It's kinda fun to be the first one on the block to have a new body style rig... we had it on order for about 10 weeks and we got the 2nd one that the dealer had...

Here it is parked out front (note the sun today, been a while since we've seen that). That's my 2005 Dodge 4x4 quadcab parked behind it for scale... the FJ is a big vehicle.

Hmm... that might effect my quarterly bonus...
On the other hand, that might give it a tougher stance.

Ditto on the moulding and running boards. I always liked the orig. FJs and think it is great that they are bringing back a variation. Wish Ford would get the new Bronco past the concept phase and do the same (see attached image)
What is the stock height to the top of that roof rack?
The silver/grey color looks better than the blue.
But the backend looks too 'boat-y', or disproportionate in size from the nose.
Did you drive it around on the street? Is that C-pillar a blind-spot?
One time I drove my truck (then shiny truck) onto a job site, all of the heavy equipment seemed to get too close for comfort. No bucket swings at the fender, but a dump truck did try to back into it.

Yeah, I've driven it on the street a bunch. It has blind spots big enough to hide Rosie O'Donnell. Great mirrors, but you've got to be comfortable using them.

Not too bad, but they gotta do something about that grillio.
Backcountry,
That's a much better image than what I posted. Last I heard, it was coming out in 2007, but I bet that that has changed. I wish my outfit gave me a new FJ to cruise my public works construction projects in. The little Ford Escape they gave me is too damn small.
I'm not impressed. It looks like a Honda Element in steroids to me.
Even my new 4runner is somewhat a disappointment. It seems those car manufacturers are feminizing their 4x4 vehicles. I like levers for shifting into low gears -- not those knobs that looks like I'm turning my A/C!

.
I called Redlands Toyota regarding the weight it's 5500 pounds(too heavy to tow) can't get much economy with a V-6 pulling that much weight. My old '76 FJ 40 with the boat anchor 6 weighed 6000 pounds.I thought toy would've put a Chev V-8 in the toy & made it a Chevota.
Yeah like the 5.3 Vortec !

Never take life too seriously; after all, no one gets out of it alive.
I pulled behind one of the new FJ's in the campus parking lot... Looks like a Hummer hooked up with a wrangler. Not sure what I think yet...Jury's still out. But I like that Bronco!!![]()
The new FJ is a serious off road truck and quite spacious. I played with one at the LA Auto Show. Still a few things about it I don't care for but it's the real deal. Certainly worth a look depending on how much cargo you haul. It is well thought out too.
