I just can't wait for deer season to get here. I will be putting my name in the hat for X5b again, I have 3 points this year so I don't think I am going to get a tag but I 'll get another point and I 'll be one year closer to going back there. Anyone else thinking of next season already and what zone they will try for?

Yep!

Already applied for NM (mule Deer, Elk, Antelope)

Utah apps open tomorrow (mule deer, Mountain Goat)

Wyoming apps are already filled out. Just need to mail them off. (Points for deer and Antelope)

Bought lottery tickets for Valles Caldera (Elk)

Have bought and will continue to buy lottery tickets for AZ Super Raffle (Mule Deer, Coues Deer, Bear)

Will be applying for California Mule Deer too.

All that and I will be lucky to just draw an early season Whitetail tag in Arizona.

I am going up to Alaska for sure next year to hunt caribue with a friend. When is the Idaho deadline? I want to put in for deer and elk up there. I have a friend that has to huge dairys up there and says I can hunt anytime.

What Coues said! Almost exactly what Coues is putting in for.
WY elk is sent.
Will do NM oryx this month
will do UT this month
Will waste more money on Valle Caldera !!
and then every month will get the garth carter mag and do some more.

Nope.

With 0 pts you get tossed into 10% pool with all the other guys who don't get drawn. You'll have a small but real chance or something like that for the harder to draw hunts. I'll be in that pool this year.

No general hunts here unless something changes. Taking my daughter on a guided speedgoat hunt with JFW in NM and that will deplete any funds for other hunts. This will be our first guided hunt. We may do D14 if we have time.

Looking to acquire a Marlin 1895 LTD III or Marlin 1895 Cowboy rifle in 45-70. Hit me up if you are contemplating getting rid of one.

This year it's another two AO tags in CA, and I'm few days from putting a deposit on a Colorado combined Elk-Mule deer hunt (archery only).

I'll buy a mule deer point in NV too.
