I friend of mine and I have been wanting to get into the VHA 500yd club for some time now. Well after some serious scouting to find an area that held enough rabbits and a area where we would be able to set up and spot jack rabbits at 500+ yds. We found our spot. A small plateau overlooking a large flat area that has 1,200yds of space to shoot. Spotting these at this distance was a chore, and then to find them again in the range finder and again in the scope. We both finally did it. 538yds and 526yds, here are some pics.

1000 club is next
Both guns are 22-250. After about 550yds the groups fall apart, so we are building 30" barreled 300RUM'S to shoot at 1,000yds. Should be fun.Originally posted by Troutman@Aug 16 2005, 02:38 PM
