Just curious..Not starting anything but friendly conversation... but what loads are favored by everyone? And what choke manufacturer do you guys use? ###I use Federal #4's and CompuChoke in a Mossberg 835.

#4s either out of a 3.5 Benelli SBE or a 10 ga Browning BPS. ###The 10ga is too big for me to swing on flying waterfowl but with the right choke it can deliver an awful lot of those #4s out past 50 yards. ###Somehow I can't bring myself to shoot that far at a turkey but when I set a pattern board out there with a turkey neck on it I can still get 10-20 pellets in the head/neck kill zone every time.

    ### I shoot an SBE with a 27" barrel(with choke),using 3 1/2" with 2 oz. of #5 Win.Sup.,through a Comp-N-Choke, with #4's as backups and place 24 pellets into the kill zone with first shot and 18 with backup rounds, at a diatance of 35 yards.
    ### I use a Tru-Glo Pro series Gobble Dot sight system; that has both windage and elevation adjustments.(My personal choice)
    ### What ever you do,"ALWAYS PATTERN YOU SHOT GUN", at 30-40 yds....like guns do not shoot alike. Choose the best shot size from 4,5,or 6's. If there is a whole in your pattern consider getting some type of tighter choke...there are many Mfg. out there.

I have used several guns to kill turkeys. The one I have been getting the most birds with and is also shooting the tightest pattern for me is my Browning BPS in 12 ga. I use a three inch Federal shell with 2 oz of number 5 shot. It has a Comp-N-Choke tube also. I have to agree with Grayghost, that you must pattern your gun. Every gun and choke combo is different. Even ammo will pattern differently. Pattern your gun with the ammo you are going to use. ### ### ### ### ### Fubar

###I have always shot #4's out of my Beretta but I am interested in trying the new loads from Remington, that are a mix of 4's and 6's, on the pattern board.

I agree about the patterning the gun. ###I check mine at the beginning of each season. ###With these tight chokes, even the smallest bend in a barrel will throw the whole pattern off.

I use a Tru-Glo Strutstopper choke tube sized .665 out of my Rem 11-87, that and those Winchester 3" High velocity 1 3/4oz of #5's work wonders out of my set-up!!
