that's not an easy answer, there are differnt terrains and faunas that may require different type of concealment

    Waterfowl
    Big Game (Western/Midwest/Southern)
    Turkey

Ya I know there are different reasons for different Camo, but what is your favorite.

For me because I am a duck hunter, my favorite is Shadow Grass.

But the jacket I wear for every day use is real tree. So I think my question is what type of Camo do you wear the most???

    Shadow grass for waterfowl
Desert Shadow for high country deer
Predator green (I forget the exact one) for pigs and coastal deer usually

My new waterfowl gear is in the Advantage MAX4 HD pattern, it's seems to be about 70% of the gear out right now, it's popular, it's new. My old stuff was the regular Advatage Wetlands, but it seems to be replaced more and more with the MAX4 HD.

Upland (when I wear camo, rarely anymore) is usually just a Mossy Oak Breakup mesh shirt, with denim brush pants.

Big Game - depends where I'm at. In Colorado, I must wear orange, so it's bibs (advantage timber) and a blaze orage jacket. In California, its Desert Shadow only.

I like the ASAT stuff, there stuff works and makes sense.

For me it's outfitter camo. It's a basic pattern thats quite adaptable to many diffrent enviroments, expecialy out here in the west.

I don't mean to re-direct this thread, but starting another one about camo seemed kinda redundant.

It seems the camo companies are finally paying more attention to those of us who need high desert camo patterns. I just got the new Cabela's Archery catalog and they have Seclusion 3D Open Country, Mossy Oak Brush, Montana Camo Ghost Series, and their own NaturalGear. Of these, which is best suited for chasing CA Muleys (say from X9 south)?

    Thanks!

I'm a waterfowler, so Max4 HD is usually what I look for. Then shadow grass is 2nd option.

Cazador had the same answer I would give...

"that's not an easy answer, there are differnt terrains and faunas that may require different type of concealment".
I use different patterns depending on the time of year, where I'm hunting, what I'm hunting... Mostly I use browns and tans like ASAT, 6color desert, shadow grass or even the older now out of fashion "outfitter cammo".

For me it's a matter of staying cool or warm as the case may be and blending in. And in playing the wind right, of course.
