Are turkeys considered upland game, and therefore require an upland bird stamp? I would think so, but i'm new to this and unsure.
Also, can anyone tell me a general area in the So. Cal. area where they can be found? When i say general area i mean say within a couple hours drive of L.A.

    Thanks,-Dale

You do indeed need the upland game stamp to hunt turkeys. ###Can't help you on Southern Cal locations. ###I would suggest checking with DFG and also BLM.

Hey, that's not a stupid question. When I was a supervisor at a large aluminum plant we had the responsibility to orient new employees. One of the things I always told them was this, "The only stupid question is the one you DON'T ask."

It also depends on the state you hunt. here in kansas, they are considered big game, but in Oklahoma, they are considered upland birds. Best bet is to check your states regualations. Good Luck

I have heard of some people getting turkeys in the San Diego area. Other than that your best bet is your local market.

Use a Bow for hunting at the meat counter- less chance of injuring others.
