More details and pics to come later, here are a few that I took.
This was my first SHOT show, and first time to meet other JHO members. The Show induces sensory overload. It took a half day to fully comprehend the magnitude of it all.
The 500 S&W
The security lady indicated that photographs were not allowed. Then she saw that my badge said "PRESS" and then she ammended her comment and said "oh, since you are press, you can go ahead". I didnt argue and proceeded with the following.
Here are the comments on the 500.
Hey Chris, I know what you mean about overload. I've found that you have to have a reasonable goal when you go in, then plan to get sidetracked constantly over the course of three or four days.
By the way, I fell in lust with those Wild West Guns two years ago! Pretty cool that they've added new calibers. That just seems like the ultimate hogzilla gun.
Great pix. I got a few, but I'll need them for write-ups on the JHO Journal.
He has no gallery to applaud or disapprove of his conduct... Whatever his acts, they are dictated by his own conscience rather than a mob of onlookers. It is difficult to exaggerate the importance of this fact.

Where's the group pic? LOL
Hey Chris, X told me you were giving those nikon guys some grief, thats ok they deserve it. Don't go to the dark side!
Hey Zach,
I've got a couple group pics. I'll post them when I get home. The Nikon booth was displaying a camera + spotting scope. I was asking them a couple questions.
I did see the Canon booth also. I got some hands on time with the (new) Ds Mark II and 20D. Also experienced some of their big glass lenses with IS. I was planning on making my DSLR move sometime this summer, although after firing the Mark II, I've been considering some major scope creep!
