    My problem,
I have a newbie wanting to go on a hunt with me, I was going to be up North anyways Sacramento area on business, so I decided to hit a duck club for two days, they said only two man blinds available my buddy says hey im in... he hands me a check for 250.00 and says he is going to get his hunter safety course in so he can hunt too.
Well the good news is the Duck Club received my check and everything is cool there, the bad news my colleague tells me today he never did get his hunter safety course, and he only owns a brown pair of waders, no jacket, no hat... no gun... and no brains.
I tell him hey thats tough, but everything has been paid for, since I have a ton of hunting gear your welcome to whatever I have, problem is hes xxxl in size and the clothes i have wont fit. I told him the blind is paid for, here is my camera take alot of pictures of me shooting birds
He wants to purchase the right gear, but now there is no time, as we are leaving this Wednesday, sorry it took so long but my question is... Are there any good sporting goods store between Fontana and Sacramento?
I dont want to be a total jerk, so I wouldnt mind that hes in the blind, just dont flair the birds with his white jacket and fluorescent Rams hat.

There is Hodgeman in Concord and Kittles in Colusa. Otherwise you may have to go to walmart. Cabelas is quick on getting stuff to you also.

Like duckboy1 said Badger Johns on El Camino in Sacto, but Wild Sports in Orangevale on Greenback Lane have a larger selection.

If he really wants to hunt, fed ex from cabelas, they all sizes. In Sac there are some store but the plus sizes would be hard to find right now!

If you're doing business in the downtown area, Broadway Bait and tackle is closest by far...not sure what gear they carry anymore since it's been years since I've been in there.

But, I've been in Wildsports and Elkhorn Bait & tackle in the last year--they both have everything you'd need. Both are a good 20-30 minute drive from the downtown area.

i would stop at badger john's or wild sports. if you go to broadway get ready for some serious sticker shock. the only reason i would go to broadway is the fact that they are the only store open at 5 am. if you have time go to sierratradingpost.com and have them ship the stuff to you next day air. they will be the cheapest by far.

Thanks alot guys I appreciate the help, I should have known better, but I was looking at someone being able to fill that spot and showing them a little about why we love the sport so much.
I will post up later about how the hunt went, as I had asked on an earlier post about a club offering any hunts availble around that time frame in that paticular area.
Sometimes you win and sometimes you lose, Damn if I didnt get home tonight and drew for the first time all year for Wister. From what it sounds like I should have a good hunt on this club.
My colleague said he was willing to go fishing, and absord the payment for the blind.
Thanks again guys for the info.
