Possible move to Colorado Springs in the summer. Just like some info on the type of hunting available in the nearby area ie 1-2 hr drive. Any info greatly appreciated.

Great choice of area, I wish my wife would let us go!

Check with the rules on hunting Fort Carson...great hunting in the impact areas. I don't think you have to be former military, although I know that it helps. Also, highway 24, going west of of the city has plenty of great areas to hunt. Rampart Resevior is one and I believe that there is hunting near Eleven Mile Resevoir also...both within about 2 hours.

    Hey Fresnohunter
I just moved to Monument Co. Which is about 10-15 miles north of Colorado Springs. I hear the hunting is pretty good out here, from what I gather, its all separated by units.
If I find out any other info. I will pass them on.
    Good luck with your move.

Ps, it is beautiful out here. You will love it
