Lookin to build one. What is about the best all around digital camera to use. I'm lookin at good flash, clear picture, easy on batteries etc. I've looked at the Sony, Cannon and Olympus. But I want to use one that we have directions to wire and will be using the pixcontroller. Was thinking about a metal case as we have plenty of bear in the area. Been snooping around ebay and found a few for under 100 bucks. Ant ideas will be appreciated.
That's a hard question but will give it a shot.
For trails and closeups I use the 380, set on fast refresh it will take a pic in one second, plus the way I set mine up I get a pic every 5 seconds. Batteries last for several weeks.
For trails that I can't get close and for longer battery life I use the Sony 32 or 41.
Pictures are quick -- batteries are good -- and high quality pics.
For a little more distance and where theft is an issue I use the owl pf. Good flash, pictures are very good and with just a few out, not too worried about cost.
Best pick would be the 380 for cheap and simple setup, but can't seem to get one cheap anymore.
Other than that I would go with the P 41, price isn't too bad and they take great pictures.
