I'm sure such discussion has been brought up before but I couldn't seemed to find answer to my question. Let's say I applied for the "Del Norte Bull" hunt last year and received a preference point. This year I applied for the "FHL Bull Third Season" hunt. Does my preference point from last year stays with the "Del Norte Bull" hunt only or does it applies towards this year's draw regardless of what hunt I applied for?
Your preference point(s) will move to wherever you decide to apply for this year. If you put in for the FHL hunt this year, whatever point(s) you have, will be applied to this draw.
Yep, L2H
Steve is correct, the points are applied to the species you put in for, not the area and species.
I put in for a cow tag at Grizzly Island. It's close to home, so I can do day hunts. With all the hunts i've done so far, and hopes of getting drawn for my X zone, doesn't leave me much vacation for a long elk hunt.
I applied for X3B and mailed my application about a month ago. I had two points so my odds of drawing a tag is up there. My fingers are crossed and hope I draw. I've never been in the zone before so I'm planning to do some scouting if I get a tag. I think I remember you mentioned putting in for X3B about a couple weeks ago. Good luck to ya. I put in for the FHL Bull hunt third season. My dad put in for a cow tag at FHL. Both of us are at max points so hopefully one of us get something.
