a 6lb rainbow out of the bighorn river in montana. i was 5 years old, and my dad tied on the ugliest lure he could find, so he knew he wouldnt miss it when i got snagged. first cast i hung a 6lber, and he couldnt believe it. he also still has a picture of me holding that thing in his office. also....same day, we were on an island where the river split, my dad decided to take a nap. i had a rooster tail on and found that it didnt cast well, so i put on 10 split shots right at the knot. i ended hooking up a 4lb brown trout. i woke my dad up with a fish flopping right next to him. good times. i owe my pops a beer for that ugly lure. that was my biggest wild rainbow until about 3 years ago...![]()
