Just wanted to share mine and Gerry's hunt with you guys and express thanks to those that gave me some tips on this awesome property we arrived about 4:20 and was welcomed by the staff who gave great information on the property and had dohnuts for the hunters to boot they were the best staff I have ever encounterd in Cali thats for sure they shuttled us down after letting us drop our carts and gear closer to our blinds and offerd to pick us up on returning from our hunts cant say enough about them.

Ok the draw we had pick eight and drew seventh and opted for blind 11 A after a cart breakdown and lots of trying moments trying to figure out how to fix it Gerry came up with a plan and it worked he used a a tie down strap to hold the axle in place and it worked , we finnaly got done setting up at 7:15 after having birds trying to land on us got in the blind to have a single spec come in low and took him one down a short while later here come some birds and there alutions one shot from each of us and were one dark away when another single spec comes our way and Gerry's got his last dark and its a big ol bar belly and its about 9:00 am and we stick it out to try for a snow or Ross, we have a grind start on top of us and here come the Ross's along with a couple hundred mixed spec's cacklers and Alut's it was awesome we couldnt get a shot at the Ross due to them balling up in front of the blind and we would have prolly of been over on our limits so we passed on em . After that show we just sat and watched all the dark geese work us till it was time to call it at 11:30 and yes the staff picked us up and shuttled us to our trucks to pick up our gear Kudos to the staff for sure .

Anyone who hunted there this year or plans to try in the future please write Brad Burkholder Enviormental Scientist and let him know about how you enjoyed the oppertunity I was told this land is not DFG its DWP and they had to fight like he!! to get it back for us in 03/04 and there not sure about next year so we need to do our part to keep up access.

Good report, glad you had a great hunt! I couldn't have said it better or agree more about the staff there, they sure are a breath of fresh air compared to some of the other areas. I'll definetly send a letter to Brad, thanks for posting the contact info.

    Hey D

Glad you got pulled and had a good shoot, I did not, guess they don't like anyone from SoCal, next year i'm on your card.

I'm going to bust it trying to get up there next year sometime, my son wants to hunt with Dave at Sundance so we should get in a day, as he will fly in and out, and I will drive up.

    How about a picture.
