Has anyone heard about the big buck that was shot East of Hardin, IL? I heard the rack was about 8" in diameter at the base!

I'm not sure about the buck that you are talking about, but I saw a non-typical yesterday in person that rough scored 247 inches and had a 27 inch inside spread. The bases were 7 5/8 inches and it had 29 scorable points. It was taken in southern illinois. I have pics of it on my computer, but I don't know if I should post them. As of now it would be a new state record, but it needs to dry and be officially scored by Boone and Crockett.

If you are asking me if that is the one I saw, no that is not the one that I saw. I was told that there were a couple of other ones taken this year that score in the 240's so that could be one of them.
Thats the buck shot east of hardin in Fieldon (Jersey County). Chad Goetten is the gentleman in the photo.
