A Knox County hunter scouting for deer found much more than he bargained for.
The man, who police did not identify, stumbled upon several marijuana plants while following a deer trail in a wooded area near Wolf Hill Road in northern Knox County. The hunter then left the area and called Indiana State Police. During the search, ISP officers found nearly 600 marijuana plants. The plants were then destroyed in a controlled burn.
Police estimate the street value of the find at around $600,000. No arrests have been made. The investigation is continuing.
