The wife, mother in law and I went on a cruise to Alaska last week. While in Ketchikan I did a little flyfishing for salmon since they are running this time of year. I caught several nice pinks, a couple of cohos and the red october(see below). He was 40 inches and I estimate him to be about 50 pounds. It took me 30 minutes to land him on an 8 weight rod. If you haven’t taken this trip yet DO IT.
